“Discontentment in life is what will aid us in growth”
There is a philosophy that says life is all about being content and happy with what you have, which is complete and utter bullshit. There is no scope for growth or learning if there is not even a bit of discontent in a person’s life. The more you want something in life the more you are likely to go after it.
The aim of any person is to grow, discover and learn. The discontent is the fire that motivates us to do better. The people who say they do not want to do anything are also discontent; they wish to attain the peace that lets them come to a place where they can do whatever they want to.
To get more out of life, we need to have the discontent, too look at our goals and keep on going to reach there. Small goals also keep us motivated to get ahead.
What is the meaning of life if there is no growth? One has to grow, change, and adapt to survive in a world that is changing at a rapid pace.
It does not mean that life is a race, people have their own pace that they need to follow. Following one’s own path will help turn discontent into content. Rushing into things, following someone else’s path making someone else’s dream your dream will kill the inner you. Make you more unhappy and will make you discontent in the wrong way.
The feeling that you are not good enough, or you need to get better, makes you hone your skill and want to be better. A version of yourself, that you are proud of, that makes you happy. You want to be the person that people look up to. A person that is growing and learning is a person that will be actually content in life.
The point here is that the only content person is the person that is discontent.
Just a random question for everyone:
Are you discontent with your life to make it content?
