The Quest for Thought

According to you what do you think matters the most? Both have their respective value in everyone’s life and there are many cases when one has to choose between them. What would you have chosen if there was not an either-or situation for you?

For me, respect ranks a little higher than money. If somebody does not respect me or my work, I cannot work there or be associated with that person. This in no way means that I do not want money or money is not important.

Respect is the backbone which motivates me to work. I need respect and freedom to be able to deliver the best, more than my potential. Being respected and your work being respected is what makes you understand how much belief people have in you.

Being in the field that I am in of social media marketing, there are a lot of people who do not understand what importance that holds in today’s world. Not understanding what the work is different from being ignorant about it and showcasing that this field is not important. Every field is important and should be respected. They all serve their own purpose.

Yes, money does get you respect; but is it actual respect or just something you bought? What if you lose the money, will you still be respected? Money gets you power, it gives you the independence to get anything you want, however, it does not get you true respect unless you are Mr Ratan Tata.

What is more important? Respect or Money?
