The Quest for Thought

The ship of Theseus, also known as Theseus’ paradox, is a thought experiment that raises the question of whether an object that has had all of its components replaced remains fundamentally the same object. 

The question remains if all the parts, even if changed over time, results in keeping the product the same? Can anything be changed and called the same? Does changing a small part count as identical, or is it also changed to a certain degree?

If we change small things about ourselves are we the same or have we somehow changed, evolved or just at the core not the same? Does time have any play in changing us or do we have to make conscious choices that change us?

The other important question that comes from this is, do we have to stay the same? Isn’t the main motto of life to keep on changing and evolving? Do you lose people along the journey of change, or do you keep the people that actually add value to your life?

Are you the same, or have you changed; and is it a good change or a bad change?
