Travelling for Inner Peace

Travelling is the peace that is needed in your life. Different places have their own traditions, cultures and history. In India, every place, every building, and every street has a story attached to it. The more you explore the little cafes on the street corner or the vegetable seller, the more you will learn about how they live.

When travelling to a place, I prefer taking a bag with my diary, water and snacks, and roaming around on foot to understand the local history. I love to talk to the natives and understand their cultures, traditions, food and values.

Travelling like a native instead of a tourist will make you know more about the place and its history. Every place has its unique blend, giving a different vibe. It gives you peace and calms you from the daily monotonous life that we all live.

The thrill and adventure that we all miss in our daily lives come from travelling. You have stories to tell when you come back home. You have a changed perspective towards life. There are certain things that become clear to you, and you focus on what is essential in your life. The core philosophy of travelling makes you believe in life again and the small beautiful memories that come with it.

The main question remains, is travelling the same as taking a vacation? Or is there a fundamental difference that comes to mind?

For me, the difference is how you look at it. Travelling makes you think, it gives you things to ponder over, quality discussions about everything under the sun, giving you the mental stimulation you were looking for. On the other hand, vacation is where you relax by doing nothing or doing what you love. It is for relaxing, bringing your mind the rest it needs after being active for a long time.

What do you want to do? Travel or take a vacation?
