Your thoughts surround you like a whirlwind and you don’t know how to control them, how to make them stop. You try to bring order to the chaos, yet there is not one thought you can single out before all come flooding in.
Sometimes you go on autopilot just to not have anything in your mind.
Is it helpful?
The answer is both yes and no.
You do not have thoughts that drive you crazy, however, you also lose the thoughts that make you happy. It is a constant battle between whether should you do it for the sake of doing it or because you really want to do it? You win some, you lose some. You stop feeling anything; sometimes it can be freeing, but sometimes you just want to feel something, a glimmer of happiness.
You think of times when you were happy, joyous, exuberant and wanting to do things that interested you. Now even your hobbies or passions seem draining.
Is this a successful way to live?
I would just say it is a way to live if you think not feeling something is living.
As said, you win some you lose some.
