The hustle culture

With the days going by and the workload increasing, how can one complete it on time without losing their sanity? The content that has to be churned out has to be original, funny, intriguing and yet should not take time to make.

The increasing number of tools that have come out is unfathomable. Though they pose as a convenience they are in fact an inconvenience. These tools increase the workload and decrease creativity even more. You are conditioned to produce data the fastest, to not miss a beat, a trend, or a fad. Just to keep going on.

We have glorified the hustle culture and have made it sound like it is the solution to all the problems that we are facing. The 9-5 grind that actually becomes the 9-9 tragedy is something that as a society we have collectively normalised. The fact that working late, on the weekend is seen as a sense of dedication makes it difficult for the ones who want to create a healthy boundary between work and life.

When people say that work is life, is absurd to me. Work can be a part of your life, not your life. Even when you enjoy the work you do, you still need a break from it. You need time to focus on yourself, your different relations and most importantly to not diminish the passion you have for life or your work.

The simple pleasures of life should not be a luxury you crave, take out time for yourself, and make yourself a priority. Money is important not denying it, but do not lose yourself in the process of getting it, or else you will not have time to do anything with the money you earn.
