Have you ever found yourself in a situation where someone says one thing and does the opposite? That’s the essence of hypocrisy. It’s a behaviour that’s universally frowned upon, yet it seems to be prevalent in our daily lives.
I have recently come across many people who say something else and mean something else. They will go to lengths to ensure that a negative light is shed on you. Saying good things in front of you and then back bitching about you as soon as you leave. You can do anything for these people but they will not leave a single chance to put a knife in your back.
So the question remains how to be safe from this. The answer is very simple; do not trust people. You do not have to go out of your way to accommodate somebody else’s feelings when they do not care about yours. It is your responsibility to take care of yourself and not other people.
If you want an extreme solution, the best way is to confront them and cut all ties with them and let them handle their own mess that they would have dug for themselves, or you can go out with fireworks and hand them what they deserve by taking a page from their book and backstabbing them at the most crucial point in their life.
The underlying point remains the same, be protective of yourself and set boundaries. If people do not respect your boundaries assert it more and just tell them to f off.
